Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and Answers

1. What does my first therapy session look like? or What does a first appointment consist of?

An initial assessment will be a one to one appointment. It will introduce you to what CBT or EMDR is and it will ask if you have any goals that you would like to get from therapy. With your Therapist you would form a shared understanding of how your thoughts, feelings, physical symptoms, and behaviours play a role in your wellbeing and then collaborate on what a treatment plan could look like for you. We can also discuss whether CBT or EMDR would be the recommended course of therapy for you. â€‹
